Turkish Apparel Industry is increasing its market share in the world. One fifth of Turkey’s exports are from the textile and Apparel industry. As the 7th biggest garment exporter in the world, Turkey is also the 3rd biggest garment supplier in Europe. Hosiery industry has also showed a tremendous improvements in recent years.

As of today Turkish Hosiery sector has managed to secure a substantial position in the world. Turkish Hosiery sector has been increasing its exports and their global market share every year with quality production as well as product variety. As part of Turkish Ministry of Economy’s   “Supporting the Improvement of International Competitiveness” manifesto “The Expansion of Hosiery Manufacturers to the Foreign Markets” project coordinated by Istanbul Apparel Exporters Association (IHKIB) aims to support business in the same sector and value chain to improve their competitiveness in the international market.

Turkey is the second biggest Hosiery exporter in the world and the socks industry is one of the most improved sub-sector of the Turkish garment and clothing sector. Through supporting the momentum gathered in recent years by the important and dynamic sock sector our objective is to reach Turkeys 2023 Export vision and maintain a sustainable export figures and increase market varieties.

19 Turkish manufacturer companies have came together under an umbrella taking in consideration of their collective needs and objectives. The socks cluster members transition to become a customer oriented, fast and flexible manufacturer, designer/producer of collections and brands, modernist/innovative developer, marketer and manager of effective production channels will be supported in accordance to the Tenth Development Plan of 2014-2018. In accordance to the above objectives, it is aimed to increase our members quality and their global market share.
